Easy Sausage and Olive Pizza
We've almost made it to the end of the week! And tonight, that feels similar more than of an achievement than usual considering we've been struggling through sick babies and fourteen hour work days over here. I'one thousand not sure which would be harder, being salubrious taking care of ill babies or being sick and taking intendance of healthy babies. But at this signal I'thou starting to wish I was the sick one and the rest of the family would just go better already.
But in my few moments of nap-fourth dimension quiet (that lasted maybe ten minutes considering I yet haven't gotten Adelaide and Lincoln sleeping at the same time), I put together this easy pizza that has become an instant new favorite. It's a winner more often than not considering information technology's succulent, but partially because it turned out much easier than I expected. Kickoff of all, it should not have taken me this long to try pre-made pizza crust. I'k withal a huge fan of our homemade pizza dough (whole wheat recipe here), but it's ideal for pizza nighttime or having friends over and not for a quick 10 minute luncheon. Second, removing the casing on Italian sausage was much easier than I was anticipating and I'k wishing I hadn't shied away from using it in recipes for all these years considering I didn't want to have to deal with the casing. Third, my toddler wouldn't eat this pizza, just he did devour like 21 olives in the process of me making it.
The quick and like shooting fish in a barrel factor makes it nifty for lunch but it would too be perfect for entertaining (game 24-hour interval or otherwise). You tin slice the olives, sautee the veggies, and melt the sausage alee of time (I made twice every bit much every bit I needed of each topping and just put them in the fridge so that I tin make this again with even less effort). You can besides skip the Italian sausage all together considering the philharmonic of the bell peppers, olives, and goat cheese gives this pizza lots of season, simply I love Italian sausage and then I'yard sticking with it.
Entertaining tip: Instead of cutting the pizza into slices, go for cutting it into strips. Particularly if y'all're serving mainly finger foods, this is the perfect fashion to stretch a pizza and accept it announced every bit more of an titbit than a meal.
