Easy Way to Get Atlas on Clicker Heros
Congratulation on your first successful trancendance! There is no achievement to reward you and going back to area 1 without any kind of boost feels rough, but trust me this is worth it. Actually, you can't reach area 3600 without transcending, so let's just say that you reached a new stage of the game. This First Ascencion after New Transcendance is called FANT, and always feel sluggish. As mentionned in the previous page, make sure you ALWAYS have 50 rubies before transcending. This allows you to perform a quick ascension from the shop, earn 7 HS, and hopefully get a top tier ancient at least level 1 at the minimum. You don't really need more, as this ancient boost will be highly improved by your outsiders. If you don't get a top tier ancient, reroll until you are down to 1HS. Respec to go back to 5HS and try your luck again.
FANT suggestions
During the FANT you want to collect your relic quest right after you do your quick ascension by spending your rubies, then you play as normal up to about area 75 when it really starts to slow down and cash in one of your gold mercenaries (the lowest gold one is better) and use that to speed up getting to area 100+.
Once you get to 104 turn farm mode on and use RT to manually check on the boss at 105 if it is normal then just continue as normal. If the boss is primal you want to cash in your second gold merc and level up your strongest hero available (most likely Frostleaf) as much as possible. Next go to your ancient tab and respec, the aim is to try and get Solomon before going any further to increase initial Hero Soul potential as bosses at 110, 120 and 130 are guaranteed to be primals. Simply keep rerolling and respecing until you find him. After 130 it's better to just ascend, even if 140 is primal the time and effort to kill him isn't worth the payoff.
What are those outsiders?
I talked briefly about them in the previous page, let's go more into details now that you can actually use them:
Xyliqil: Each level cost 1 AS increases the effectiveness of Siyalatas and Libertas by 100%. Fantastic for idle builds obviously.
Chor'gorloth: Each level reduces the HS cost of ancients starting at about 5% per level, with diminishing returns later on. It is maxed out at level 150, but you certainly don't need that much to clear area 3600. You want him later in the game.
Phandoryss: Increases Transcendent Power by .05% per level. The cost per level is n (the cost of the level). Same as Chor, get him later.
Borb: Increases the max Transcendent Power Reward by .5% of all HS sacrificed per level. Each level costs 1 AS. This is the last Outsider you want to level up, you will get to area 3600 before thinking of leveling him up actually.
Ponyboy: Each level cost 1 AS and increases the effectiveness of Solomon by 100%. This is incredibly useful at all stages of the game, you want to spend the majority of your AS into him.
How to level them up?
You earn AS right after transcendance, so use them immediately. This spreadsheet shows you the optimal distribution according to your build (don't forget to switch page to get hybrid and active builds).
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1m09HoNiLW-7t96gzguG9...
When transcending, you get an option to respec your outsiders. This is sometimes required since some Outsiders should be downgraded. Unlike respecing ancients, this doesn't cost you anything: you will not lose any AS or anything in the process!
Also, this spreadsheet starts at 30 AS. With 10 AS I suggest2 in Xiliqil and 8 in Ponyboy. With 20 AS I suggest 4 in Xiliqil and 16 in Ponyboy.
An alternative spreadsheet for level both Outsiders and Ancients can be found here. It is complete and very efficient, however you need to manually inut quite a lot of data, in addition of having a google account. The first page quite clearly indicates how to use it properly:

What about ancients?
Since your ancients effects are multiplied by the outsiders, you will reach further areas, and get significantly more HS. The impact on your DPS and gold income is so massive that the ancient tier list will change. You will have enough HS to purchase them all if you want to, so the hybrid build becomes viable. Also, you should be able to afford autoclickers in the shop, which makes all builds more efficient. Hybrid becomes the best if you stay in front of your screen, but idle and active are both comfortable and competitive enough. Let's review that right now:
Idle build
When you buy autoclickers, don't assign them anywhere. Nogardnit will automatically give you a massive gold income bonus for each unspent autoclicker.
Ancients you care about: Siyalatas, Argaiv, Libertas, Atman, Solomon, Dogcog, Dora, Fortuna, Revolc, Kuma, Mammon, Mimzee, Morgulis, Nogardnit
"why not" ancients: Bubos, Chronos
Ancients you don't care about: Bhaal, Fragsworth, Juggernaut, Vaagur, skills
Active build
Assign all autoclickers on monsters.
Ancients you care about: Argaiv, Atman, Solomon, Dogcog, Dora, Fortuna, Revolc, Kuma, Mammon, Mimzee, Morgulis, Bhaal, Fragsworth, Juggernaut, Vaagur, skills
"why not" ancients: Bubos, Chronos
Ancients you don't care about: Siyalatas, Libertas, Nogardnit
Hybrid build
Keep your autoclickers inactive until you switch to active at the end of your ascencion.

From now on you can use more efficiently this simple calculator. It's not the perfect solution but it is easy to use and accurate enough.

Make sure you fill in all the green fields (transcendant power, Siyalatas level and a rough estimate of the area in which you will ascend)
More achievements for me?
You should be able to get this achievement with ease now. Simply upgrade your heroes levels up to a total of 25k. Feel free to check in the stat menu where you currently sit at ("XXX hero levels worth YYY HS when ascending"). I suspect you could get more before your second transcendance but there is no rush, as your ultimate goal is to reach area 3600. All the other achievements will come naturally before that point.

How to optimize relics?
At this stage of the game you can pay more attention to them. Have you noticed that some ancients cost an astronomical price to level up compared to others? Dora, Kuma, Atman, etc. You want to get relics boosting those ancients, especially Atman (or Kuma if you want faster runs). Getting 50 levels on Siyalatas will be completely irrelevant at some point in the game, but 2 levels on Atman is always a nice addition. My recommendation, if you hesitate between 2 relics, is to calculate how many HS it would cost to level the ancients from each relic. Keep the one that boosts your ancients for the higher cost.
Should I care about mercenaries?
After transcendance, mercenaries give you small boosts from time to time. There is no achievement linked to them, but it doesn't hurt to complete their quests. You start with only 1 mercenary at level 1. You can select a new quest from a selection of 4. One of them will likely be "recruit a new mercenary". I strongly suggest you have 5 mercenaries at all times. Indeed, if you select a difficult task, they may die before completing their quest. Every time a mercenary dies, accept a quest to recruit a new one. Give your low level mercenaries quick quests. If possible, try to focus on HS quests as they are more relevant in the long run. As mentionned previously, they help quite a lot during a FANT so try to prepare 4 quests before transcending.
What about leveling heroes? And gilded heroes?
Remember the power 5 heroes you were leveling up after getting Frostleaf to 75 (Samurai, Treebeast, Brittany, Ivan and the Forest seer)? Well, now you have enough HS to move gilds onto them. How does it work? Go below your last unlocked hero and press on the button saying "gilded heroes". You will have the list of all heroes, and the number of times they have been gilded. If you press on a hero, you can spend 80HS to move a gild from a random gilded hero of yours towards this specific hero. This should still be too expensive at the moment. Instead, select a hero that is not from the power 5 and press . It will remove a gild from him and assign it to a random new hero. As it costs "only" 2 HS, just spend some HS from time to time and hope that it will land on any of the power 5! This will obviously take several tries but it will prove cheaper than paying the flat out 80HS right now.
The DPS bonus from all of those gilds will start to accumulate as you go to higher areas and as you level up Argaiv. At some point when you have enough HS, you will want to pay the 80 HS per gild to move them on the masked samurai solely. To do so, select him in the gild menu and press . Yes, it hurts quite a bit to pay that much, but a fully gilded Samurai is the best way to reach higher areas and to reach Atlas.
When should I start focusing (and gilding) Atlas and subsequent heroes?
The common rule of thumb is to be able to move all gilds on the samurai. When you can level him up to 2500 while still instakilling everything on your way (including bosses), you can safely move ALL gilds on Atlas (just skip Dread Knight), and level him up from now on. When you can level Atlas up to 1500 while instakilling all enemies and bosses, move his gilds on the next hero, and so on. This is a more advanced chart if you want to optimize further:

From now on, when to ascend?
Apart from FANT which should end near area 130/140, now you can focus on speed. Ascend as soon as you stop instakilling enemies: when it takes more than half a second to kill a trash mob, kill the next boss and then ascend. There is no need to push further, as you reach higher areas every time this will already prove time consuming.
From now on, when to transcend?
You should be able to earn at least 8 AS per transcendance without issue. I personally transcend when I know that the next ascension is not going to reward any additional AS. I do around 15/17 ascensions per transcendance but that might vary according to your build and playstyle. The most important in my eyes is to not stray too far from the optimal playstyle while still enjoying the game.
